James (Jim) Daniel Echeveria Jr.Our beloved brother, uncle, and friend, James (Jim) Daniel Echeveria Jr. entered paradise on February 14, 2022, following a lengthy battle with kidney failure. Jim was born on February 21, 1956 to James and Camille Echeveria in Salinas, CA. He attended Sacred Heart School, Palma High School, and Hartnell College. Jim loved the challenge of sports. He played football, basketball, track, wrestling, and tennis. He was a die-hard 49ers and San Francisco Giants fan. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed the leisure of fishing at Twain Harte along with times on the golf course. Jim was a Sacramento resident for over 30 years and took immense pride with his involvement in the sheet metal construction of some of Sacramento's iconic buildings, including UCD Medical Center and Shriners Children's Hospital. On any given day you could find Jim talking to strangers and meeting new people. He loved making conversation, cracking jokes, and had an amazingly infectious laugh. He spread joy with his passion of praising God in all things and sharing the love of his Savior, Jesus Christ. Jim joins his parents along with his sister, Jennifer, in Heaven. He will lovingly be remembered by his brothers: Michael, Matthew (Sara), and Paul (Brenda) Echeveria, along with his sisters: Marilyn Rhoden (Steve), Nancy MacDonald (Paul), Jane, Sally, and Julie Echeveria. He will live on in his nephews: Steven (Shaanon), Loran (Janelle), Sean, Daren (Anessa), Logan, Ryan, William, Joshua, Eric, Wyatt, Garrett, his nieces: Amy, Jaynie, and Allison (Victor), his great nephews: Carson, Cody, Porter, and his great niece, Charlotte Grace. Private family services have been held in Sacramento. A celebration of joy and thanksgiving will be held for Jim in Salinas.
