Joan Gomez (Lenci) was born on August 11,1940 to Achille (Butch) and Anna Lenci in Broderick, California and joined our Heavenly Father on July 6, 2021. She spent most of her life in Broderick and West Sacramento raising her family. Joan (or Mims as her family called her) was known for her cooking, her love of Giants baseball, her movie star beauty and her kind and generous nature. Joan was an angel with the most beautiful soul. The epitome of Love. She was a devoted Mother and her passion in life were her children and family. Nothing could compare – they were everything to her. And never would a day go by without a call to her twin brother John to see how he was doing. She was loving, selfless, generous, and beautiful. From her sparkling blue eyes, gorgeous smile to her lovely heart, she had it all and was incredibly loved by everyone who knew her. Joan is survived by her loving children; son Rick De Anda and wife Debbie, grandsons Drake and Dustin; daughter Shelly Guzman and husband Lorenzo, grandsons Preston and Roman and granddaughter Emily; son Darren De Anda and wife Mariena, grandson Mitchell and wife Katie and great-granddaughter Emma and grandson Ryan and his wife Ali; twin brother John Lenci and sister Marjorie Sparks and her husband Ken and preceded in death by her brother Albert Lenci. Joan loved angels and now she is God’s newest angel in heaven, watching over and protecting us as she always has, showering us with her love. Mims will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Services will be held at River Cities Funeral Chapel, 910 Soule Street, West Sacramento, on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the Club Pheasant, 2525 Jefferson Blvd, West Sacramento.
