April 10, 1951 – June 8, 2025
Jesus "Tony" Jaurequi, 74, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, surrounded by love and the memories of a life well lived. Tony remained deeply rooted in his community and family, touching countless lives with his warmth, humor, and unwavering loyalty.
Tony was the kind of person who made a lasting impact on everyone he met. His friendships often lasted a lifetime — some going all the way back to kindergarten — a testament to his generous spirit, and ability to connect with people like no other. He also made lifelong friends on the softball field and basketball court, where his competitive spirit was matched only by his camaraderie and good humor.
He is survived by his children: Arthur Jaurequi, Cheyenne Jaurequi, Carly Jaurequi, and Nicholas Rhodes-Jaurequi. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Olivia Jaurequi, Isabella Jaurequi, and Cheyenne Jaurequi Jr.
Tony was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Jesus C. Jaurequi and Rosie Jaurequi, as well as his brother John Jaurequi and sister Melinda Alvarez. Though many of his closest family members have passed, Tony leaves behind a large and loving extended family — nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will forever cherish the joy, laughter, and strength he brought into their lives.
A funeral service to honor Tony's life will be held on Saturday, July 12th at 11:30 AM at River Cities Funeral Chapel, 910 Soule Street, West Sacramento, CA 95691. Immediately following the service, a celebration of life will take place across the street at the VFW Hall, 905 Drever Street, West Sacramento, CA 95691.
Tony's legacy is one of kindness, deep connection, and long-lasting relationships. Whether through a shared story, a helping hand, or simply his bigger than life presence, he made everyone feel like family. He will be remembered always and missed beyond measure.
