 | Pauline (Talani) Frugoli passed away on December 28, 2025. Born March 2, 1933, in Dalli Sopra, Italy, Pauline was 18 years old when she, her mother, and 3 younger brothers departed from Genoa aboard the SS Saturnia cruise line bound for the United States. The family arrived in New York then traveled 4 days across the United States via train to Sacramento, California.
Being the eldest sibling, Pauline supported and cared for her family and began her career at Campbell Soup. In 1956, she married Vince, and together they operated successful restaurants until her retirement in 1993.
Pauline loved cooking and baking for family and friends, especially during the holidays. Her devotion to her Catholic faith and commitment to love and family remained throughout her life.
The family sincerely thanks, and deeply appreciates, her devoted caregivers, whose compassion, support, and love contributed to her long and fulfilling life.
Predeceased by her husband, Vince Frugoli, daughter, Elsi Frugoli and brother, Victor Talani, Pauline is survived by her daughter Marina (Bill); grandchildren Marino (Christine), Christina, Billy; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and her two siblings, Michael and Louie Talani.
In honor of Pauline's memory, all are invited to join in celebrating her life on Thursday, January 15th, beginning with a Rosary at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church - 911 Park Blvd, West Sacramento, CA 95691. A private interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Sacramento at a later date.
