Margarita RodriguezMargarita Rodriguez passed away on January 25 at the age of 87. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and a woman of deep strength, resilience, and presence. Raised within a hardworking Hispanic family, she learned early the importance of self-reliance, perseverance, and caring for those she loved.

As a single mother, Margarita raised her only child, Yolanda Harper, on her own. She worked tirelessly to provide and protect, guided by strong instincts and a fierce sense of responsibility to her family, always doing what she believed was necessary to keep her loved ones safe.

Margarita was a loving and proud grandmother who deeply cared for her grandsons, Brandon and Chris. She showed her love through action—by making sure they were fed, looked after, and always knew they were loved.

She will be fondly remembered for her homemade tortillas and tamales, her well-tended garden, her strong opinions, and her unwavering devotion to family. Margarita leaves behind a legacy of strength, care, and love that lives on through her daughter and grandsons.

Mass of Christian burial is being held at River Cities Funeral Chapel, 910 Soule St., West Sacramento, CA 95691 at 12:00 pm on Friday, February 6th, 2026 with a graveside service following at the Davis District Cemetery, 820 Pole Line Rd., Davis, CA 95618.
