Marvin Curtis Epting Sr. 62, resident of West Sacramento California passed away January 14, 2026. Born on March 12, 1963 in Jackson Mississippi. He was a loving husband to Lisa Antoinette Epting who preceded her death on October 17, 2012. Marvin is survived by his two son's, Marvin Jr. and Marcus Terrell Epting. Grandsons, Marvin Epting III, Elijah Epting and Amar'e Epting and daughter in law Briana Epting. Marvin is also survived by his siblings, Jerome (Ruby) Epting, Christopher Epting, Jennifer Epting, Lilian Epting and many nieces and nephews and extended family. Marvin was a proud father, grandfather, devoted husband, minister and deacon and Navy Veteran. Marvin was beloved by so many friends and family. He was known for his big heart, humor and joy that he brought to those around him. Marvin was an active member as Deacon/Pastor of many churches from Vallejo, Vacaville and Sacramento and was known for his volunteer work at various churches. Marvin was also a great cook and loved to barbecue. He was preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth Epting and Edward Lofton, Brother Frank Epting and sisters Essie Epting, Sylvia Thomas and Sheba Epting. As we respect his wishes, Marvin Sr will be cremated and his ashes will be spread along the coast with his wife Lisa Epting.
